Watching videos online is a great way to supplement your English learning. Personally, I find the videos on http://www.TED.com both informational and educational. And, if you click on “translations” you are able to see many of the talks with subtitles in a choice of 70 languages. Check it out and let me know what you think!
I love being an Online English Tutor! It is always fun and interesting.

I've checked the site and I think that there is no difference between watching a video of the kind if we are talking about elementary/junior high levels, and an English channel on TV which are available these days almost all over the world, since every home has cables/satellite TV.

Anyway, it is useful for higher levels and as I always say, being exposed to natural language is one of the fastest ways to help learning it.

Thank you for sharing the link, Deborah.

If you really want to attend an American University the best place to prepare is The University
Of English. Their University Prep Plus program helped get me into UPENN and Harvard University with
Almost a full financial Aid package. They also offer a wide range of programs to help students learn and perfect their English. All staff members at the University are graduates of Ivy League schools. Even if you do not have perfect grades you should apply. The Staff at the University of English will highlight your strengths in such a way that they will outweigh your weaknesses. The rules of the Ivy League schools and many other American Universities have changed and now International students have more options of attending these schools with financial aid. Schools Like Harvard and Penn offer full financial aid to international students. The Program at The University Of English is highly regarded and comes with a money back guarantee. The University also offers preparation for graduate and professional schools. If your really serious about Changing your future you should start with them. They helped me.

Hey, great idea. Thanks for posting.
I also recommend using video/tv in the esl classroom to practice role-play , definitely spices up the ordinary role-play lesson. I do this via "dubbing" or "voiceover". I just download videos and mute them, and cut them down of course and then the students act as the voices of the actors - for elementary level I provide scripts to practice and act out but for older or even adult students I get them to write their own scripts.

Here's a link to how my elementary lesson went and you can download the video and scripts I made on the site also! http://mrsbaiasclassroom.blogspot.kr/2014/05/dubbingvoice-overs-amazing-way-to.html

Happy Teaching! :P

By the way, Greg, there is an excellent site with lots of exercises and divided into levels. I've been using it with my pupils (I'm a tutor) and it is awesome:
